FISH (Friendly Instant Sympathetic Help) of Bowie

FISH is a non-profit volunteer organization serving the greater Bowie, MD area. It provides free transportation to people who need rides to the doctor, dentist, shopping, and other occasional trips. FISH of Greater Bowie, P.O. Box 858, Bowie, Md. 20718. Call 301-262-8479 or 301-262-2313.


metroaccessMetroAccess is the region’s complementary paratransit service offered in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Unlike non-emergency medical transportation, MetroAccess is a shared ride public transportation service for people who are unable to use the accessible fixed-route Metrobus and Metrorail public transit due to disability. MetroAccess can be used during the same hours of operation as regular Metrobus service.
